Your USB VoIP phone is a perfect tool for communication which involves using a USB VoIP connection over the Internet. You use this phone with your computer to make pc to pc and pc to phone connections. There is a LCD with backlight on most of the phones that is large and they have a commercial grade high quality speakerphone system. This makes a USB VoIP phone ideal for making conference calls. They often support Skype, MSN, Yahoo Messenger and Xten softphone.

Your USB VoIP phone will ring for incoming calls and you can select the style of the ring tone and volume. They are compatible with USB and no external power is required. The driver and sound card are built in so there are no drivers and sound cards needed. You can fix the phone so you don't hear any echoes, reduce the noise and allow you to use many different features during the communication.

They have caller id function with the USB VoIP phone and allow 199 incoming and dialed numbers. They have direct call buttons to get help from partner shops that are available. This is a handsfree unit that you can redial on with other features such as in, out, up, down, delete, flash and help.

Getting Technical

You have to have a system that has P2 with 200 MHz CPU or better. You also have to have 64 MB of RAM or 10 or more on hard disk space on the operating system. You will also need to have Windows 98, ME, 2000 or XP. The network you are connected with can be LAN, ADSL, ISDN or 33.6K modem or better.

If you already have Yahoo Messenger, you can add to the VoIP solution they have for use. You can get your USB VoIP phone and talk person to person over the Internet. This saves you a lot of money on long distance charges and helps to keep the information you are listening to loud and clear.

A broadband connection is certainly the best way to go, because the slower your speeds are, the more unclear you reception will be. If you do have broadband, or someone else does, you can take your USB VoIP phone anywhere with you to use it. If you are visiting at your parent's house for the weekend, you can still get your own calls as if you had your own phone line installed. This is a great way to keep in touch with others.
