All New mobile broadband with a speed more than 100 Mbps.
Expectations of mobile technology has grown to great extent among the people. Future mobiles are expected to control every gadget in our homes from television, computer, Internet, and every piece of electronics. There are many billion dollar projects conducted by industrial giants across the globe, to make the world wire free.
Mobile technology is one of the most important invention of the communication industry in this century. Many of us would have heard the terms bluetooth, GPRS, GSM, CDMA, HSDPA and 3G. Each of these identify the way they connect people through wireless. We were excited when we first transferred files using bluetooth and was more happy when the smart phones showed the google search results. But we still complaint about speeds, that's human. Mobile phones and the mobile broadband services use the technology of GSM, CDMA and HSDPA or 3G to get online. They send and receive signals from the near by mobile network transmitters,. Signal strength, number of users accessing the transmitters and the type of building that you access from, determines the speed of data travel. So its obvious for a mobile broadband device with the maximum speed of 8 Mbps to perform slower, if its out of range or do not receive a proper signal.
Its coverage in UK has to be provided in a much better way for the ISP's to keep up their promise of 7 to 8 Mbps. There are few countries in Europe who have provided better speed range of more than 50 Mbps for their country men. Also there is a question of the mobile broadband offers, which are too high. These are few reasons which the cable broadband users say for not using the mobile broadband service. Above all there is a big question for online gaming using mobile broadband.
The government and the broadband service providers in UK are involved in a larger scale campaign for improving the awareness in the usage of mobile broadband. Also continuous research and testing has been done to increase the signal strength in all the metros and rural. There is also a plan to adopt the evolving technology of 4G, which is tested and proved to transmit and receive more than 100 Mbps. This technology seems to be more promising for the ISP's and also can satisfy the needs of the users since its using a different method of transmission. 4G is expected to be nearing its final phase of development and also support IPv6, which eliminates the NAT concept of transmitting limited data.
Its important for the users to make a thorough research on the signal strength and other parameters before choosing a broadband plan, rather switching ISP's and breaking contracts. The UK government is also taking measures to improve the speed of mobile broadband network and wishes to provide a fast broadband connection to every house hold with an average speed of 2 Mbps by 2012.
