Apple or Mac users always have the glory for luxuries computing and data sharing. It operates a lot different from the windows computers. Also the recent competitive launch of the apple's products like the i-pod music players, i-phones and the latest apple notebooks have gained more popularity among the people of UK.

The threat for viruses or any other malicious program has never struck the Mac users, since its designed on a virus free platform. So Internet has always been an moment of excitement for watching videos, playing MP3's and accessing any community sites. Broadband users still have their pleasure continuing on the Internet. But there was a greater disappointment for the mobile broadband users especially the users who own a Mac running OS X Snow Leopard. Mobile broadband dongles which were announced to be compatible on a Mac wasn't recognised as it did not have enough drivers as the previous releases. Later it was announced as incompatible with the MAC OS X 10.6, by the broadband service providers. Users were also advised not to upgrade to the new OS version, but that could been the greatest disappointment of the users owning those costly devices.

Upon lot of discussion, initially the computer experts came out with few alternatives to resolve the issue like using a Mi-fi which provides mobile broadband using a SIM card, accessing Internet in the Wi-fi zones or hot spots, Signing up for new Wi-fi connections which is more costlier, getting online using a smart phone, loading the MAC systems with windows and much more. But none of these ideas worked out well or received good comments from the users.

After a greater controversy from the media and the users, it was informed by the ISPs that they are working on it and will come up with a possible solution to use their mac broadband dongles in the machines. As promised O2 has released as set of instructions on its official web site to resolve the issue and Orange said that it will release a new connection manager by November 17 that can help users to log in to the Internet. Users are also requested to contact the customer service for immediate resolution of this issue. Users of 3 mobile broadband can use the following link to download the driver, http://ask3.three.co.uk/mbbdocs/drivers/apple_drivers.html.

There wasn't any feed back that was received from the MAC users regarding the issue. While there is also few have decided to approach legally and cancel the contract it did not resolve the issue.
